End of Year Slide

We've almost made it through our second year of Theatre Dance! How exciting!

Before you go, let's take another look at our portfolios. Remember those? :)
  1. Finish any remaining reflections for this year.
  2. Complete the Table of Contents.
  3. Create one slide that I could show to Theatre Dance students next year. This slide should have a lot of pictures and minimal words. I want it to be a reflection of the best parts of Theatre Dance this year.
  4. Review formatting to make sure that font, size of text, colors, etc. go together!

Only hours 2, 4, and 6: meet me in the library! 📚 Hours 3 and 7: I'll see y'all in the dance studio! 👣

Dance Genre Project

Hello dancers!

This post hopes to clarify the dates, outline, and overall requirements of our dance genre projects. We are off to a great start, and I am looking forward to the remaining presentations! Check out the calendars below to confirm your teaching date.

Your assignment was to work as an individual or with a partner to become an expert on one genre of dance. In the past, these have included many styles of dance including hip hop, bachata, cumbia, Irish, and tutting. This is one of my most favorite projects of the whole year because we get to see what you are truly interested in! You are responsible for leading an entire class by following the GANAG template. I gave you a handout in class with the outline template, the outline rubric, and the presentation rubric. I have also hyperlinked these below.

Although a visual is not a requirement for this presentation, a Google presentation or PowerPoint helps students visual your style of dance through text, images, and videos. Please consider this if you have the availability to create a visual.

Here are the rubrics for the dance genre project.
Here is the template for teaching using the GANAG format.
Here is an example of a completed outline.
